Beer and music – what could be better? It’s a classic combination, and the At The Hops podcast brings it to you with two of Nashville’s most entertaining singer/songwriters Chas E and Mike Mitchell. Each episode, your hosts will sample new craft beers as well as new musical sounds, keeping you current on life’s truly important matters!
Your host Chas E. is a Nashville musician originally from the Wasthington DC area. He has a degree in jazz guitar performance from the University of North Florida and spent many years playing as a sideman before moving to Nashville to pursue adventures in the singer/songwriter world. He has played in numerous venues as a soloist including the famous Bluebird Cafe and continues to work as a sideman playing guitar for the Eric Stuart Band.
A fan of microbreweries, Chas decided to fuse his appreciations for both music and craft beer, by bringing them both together in the At The Hops podcast.
Mike Mitchell is a performing songwriter originally from East Tennessee who now resides in Nashville. He has appeared as a solo performer, as half of an acoustic duo songwriting group and in rock bands. Various musicians’ renditions of his songs have allowed his songs to have many labels.
In 2009 he releaed the album North Carolina labeled by many listeners as country music due the the prominent roles of the fiddle and steel guitar throughout the record although there is folk and rock n roll featured as well. It has been called a “labor of love” by Gone Country magazine.
